Every beginning of the year is the same thing, all manufacturers rush to launch their products and try to conquer the market.
Canon EOS M50
The Canon EOS M50 is a mirrorless camera with APS C sensor of 24 megapixels, viewfinder, fully articulated screen and finally has 4k video. Canon used to have the 4k feature only in its most expensive cameras, and now the trend is that things change for those who have less money.
Announced in February 2018, it is officially launched between the entry level EOS M100, the EOS M6, the M50 is not exactly an option between the two, as it has some more advanced features.
Being the first mirrorless of the brand to have the 4k feature and a fully articulated viewfinder, this camera can be a great choice for bloggers and Youtubers.
As in previous models, the Canon M50 uses a focusing system called DualPixel AF, which passes video situations is absurdly good.
However on the M50 the number of autofocus points was improved, from 49 points to 99 on the M50.
The EOS M50 debuts Canon’s latest DIGIC 8 processor, allowing for a small difference in the amount of continuous shooting (10 fps with single AF or 7.4 fps with Servo AF).
Support for the new RAW file format, C-RAW, is also present, which has about 40% less compression. Just like eye detection, super useful for taking portraits.
The EOS M50 can shoot 720p at up to 120p for slow motion, 1080p up to 60p and 4k up to 30p, and there is also an external microphone input.
The biggest and best novelty in this camera is the presence of 4k, even though it has some limitations, such as the lack of DualPixel in 4k and a cut-off factor of 1.56x.
The 2.36 million dot OLED display and 3-inch touchscreen are great additions to the M50.
It also has Wifi, NFC and bluetooth connectivity, so you shouldn’t have much trouble connecting your camera anywhere, as well as GPS location.
