It is not difficult to find things that Lightroom doesn’t do but finding programs that do these things can be more complicated than it looks.
Especially when we have to find an option that at the same time combines editing quality, ease of use and price.
And yes, price is something that will be talked about going forward since the new system from Adobe, Creative has displeased a lot of people, either because of the cost or the format, after all, now you just place the programs and no longer own them.
Things Lightroom doesn’t do but ON1 PHOTO RAW 2018 does
For starters, On1 Photo Raw 2018 is a very capable DAM (Digital asset Management Software). For those who do not know what a DAM program is, it is simple, it is a program where you are able to catalog, organize, classify and often edit your assets, that is, your photos, in a simple way.
And today I start talking about On1 Photo Raw, which is a great competitor to Lightroom. Along with it we have Capture One , Photo Mechanics, Adobe Bridge among others.
But not everyone has the ability to manage, or they often manage very well but do not edit, and in other cases they are not that cheap.
And in this video I show some of the things that Lightroom doesn’t do but ON1 PHOTO RAW 2018 does very well. And if you are looking for a program capable of taking the place of Lightroom perhaps this is the candidate.
Thankfully, we have a big competitor on the chart, ON1 PHOTO RAW 2018, which is a great program for editing RAW or JPEG photos.
