There is no point in having a bunch of free presets for Lightroom if you don’t know how to install them correctly, and to help you do the whole process painlessly and quickly we have today’s video.
How to install presets on Lightroom
There are a lot of sites nowadays where you can download an incredible amount of presets, of course many of them are just a bunch of nonsense presets and it’s up to you to choose them. But knowing how to do the procedure correctly will still be super important for any photographer.

Installing presets for Lightroom
It is not very difficult to install presets on Adobe Lightroom Classic CC on Windows and Mac. So here’s a tutorial on how to install presets on Lightroom.
Installing Lightroom presets On Windows:
- First of all, you have to download the selected preset;
- Then, open Lightroom Classic CC on your computer;
- Drag the selected file to the open window;
- In LIghtroom go to the Edit menu, Preferences and then Presets;
- Click on “Show Lightroom presets folder…”;
- Select the “Lightroom” folder and double click;
- Choose the “Develop Presets” folder;
- Find the files of the new presets in the folder you downloaded and copy them to the folder Develop Presets;
- Finally, restart Lightroom and enjoy your work.
Installing Lightroom presets on Mac:
- Open the Lightroom Classic CC software;
- Choose Dialog and then Preferences and Presets;
- Click on “Show presets folder” in the pop-up window;
- Select the “Lightroom” and “Develop Presets” folder.
- Find the files of the new presets in the folder you downloaded and copy them to the folder Develop Presets;
- Close the program, open it again and then enjoy your presets.
