Although I still have my mouth open with the Sony A7III I have to confess that Fujifilm’s mirrorless as has been part of my current consumer dreams and Fujifilm XH1 is no exception.
It completely took the place of the X-T2 here in my mind and I definitely know how to explain why.
Fujifilm X-H1
The Fujifilm X-H1 is the newest launch of the brand and I can say that it is also one of the most anticipated cameras on the market.
It is Fuji’s great attempt to enter the competition for mirrorless cameras designed not only for photos but also for videos, like the Panasonic GH5.
It breaks the equipment barrier for enthusiasts in my opinion and goes straight into the professional realm of photography.
The Fujifilm X-H1 is a camera launched in February 2018 and features the famous 24-megapixel APS-C X Trans III sensor, which can provide unique images.
Relatively small but without leaving aside important things like the sealed and weather-resistant body Fujifilm X-H1 is a stick for every job.
The best detail about the Fujifilm X-H1 is that Fuji now has a camera model that has image nationalization inside the body, just like the top of the line cameras from the competition.
The controls of this model are quite different from what a digital camera user is used to, she with a much more retro face.
But this is nothing that 10 minutes using the camera does not get you used to, in fact for me one of the great reasons for wanting the X-T2 and now the Fujifilm X-H1 is this straighter look!
The Fujifilm X-H1 has an LCD screen on top of the camera where its exposure information appears, a wrong feature of GFX.
With a footprint very similar to a small DSLR you can take this beauty anywhere without having to worry about weight.
One of my sadnesses with this model is canvas, don’t get me wrong but I expect more.
It only has a tilting screen, and I would love to see a fully articulated screen, they can move in any direction just like the new Canon M50 .
This is something that all manufacturers should love in their models, I even give up touchscreen, present in Fujifilm X-H1, to have an articulated screen.
The quality of the screen image is another chat, it looks great, and the touch feature that allows you to reposition the focus while shooting is something that I like!
The electronic viewfinder is very welcome, it is an OLED display with 0.75x application and is very responsive.
As you might expect, we also have wireless connectivity on this girl, such as Wifi and Bluetooth and it is also possible to stop her with her cell phone to get the GPS location of the photos. This camera was developed to be a great photo / film hybrid, and in terms of film it leaves nothing to be desired.
Being able to shoot in 4k, Cinema 4k and 1080p the only problem is the limitations of shooting time. When I work in 1080p she makes up to 15 minutes of video at 120 fps, great for slow motion.
Also with a new color profile Eterna, which already has the look of a movie film, it is clear that there is a profile for videos that will be played in post, the 8-bit F-log profile, which can be recorded directly on the card Sd.
So in the X-T2 the number of shots when shooting is 8 frames per second with the mechanical shutter.
With the electronic shutter the number goes up to 14 shots per second.
If you want to increase not only the shooting speed, but also the recording time of your films, Fujifilm X-H1 has the battery grip that allows this.
With the battery extension you can shoot at up to 14 frames per second and shoot clips of up to 30 minutes. Since this is a camera of this size, it is not so expensive, below US $ 2000.00 without the battery grip.
I want to see when, and if, she will arrive here in Brazilian lands. And of course, I would love to test this girl by hand, hey Fujifilml .
What do you think of Fujifilm X-H?. Does it seem worth it?
