Macro photography with mobile
In this article you will see a fantastic and best of everything, completely free, to make some macro photography with mobile
As the article today involves a little courage, because we will work with water and mobile, do not do if you do not feel comfortable or if you are afraid of damaging your devices.

Macro photography with mobile or tablet. What you need.
Step 1:
- A smartphone or tablet
- A cloth to dry the camera / poured water – We are working with water and electronic products at the same time, so you have to be careful!
- Headset with volume buttons
- A Bluetooth remote if you have a bluetooth
- Swabs or a syringe
- Glass of water
- Something interesting to take macro photos
There are two ways to do this
I’m using my iPad but you can use iPhone or other phone. There are two cameras on most phones. One in the front and one in the back.
Camera on the back
If you want to use your iPhone, I recommend you use the camera on the back. The iPhone’s front camera is very close to the microphone, so the water drop can run down there, and we really don’t want it!
The rear camera is virtually isolated from open spaces for the iPhone.
Camera on the front
If you want to use the front camera your life will be much easier!
It’s easier to control and there’s also usually glass in front of the camera so I think it’s totally waterproof. I’m using my iPad to take pictures of the front camera.
Preparing the camera at the back
Place your smartphone on a flat surface so that you can put a drop of water on top of the camera lens.
You can use both the syringe and swabs, but I prefer the swabs. You can also use your finger, but so you can’t control the amount of water as well.
Take the syringe or swab and put a drop on the lens. Be careful not to put too much water on the lens.
The camera has some kind of “ring” around it, which can contain the water in place. If you put a very large drop of water the water will trickle everywhere.
If this happens quickly turn the phone so that the water drains and start again.
Using the camera on the back
I recommend you place the phone on the edge of a cloth, so that you can tilt the phone closer to the object. This way you have more stability.
You can use the headphones as triggers, or you can use the Bluetooth trigger.
Now just shoot

The smaller the drop of water you put the closer you can get to the objects. When working with small drops make sure that the drop is right in the middle of the lens.
The bigger the drop of water the more flattened the image will get. Try various drop sizes to achieve different results.
